How this list is ordered
Lowest real cost on a $50K evaluation: the fee × 3 plus the activation fee. A plan that doesn't publish its activation fee can't top this list.
A sticker price says little: a cheap monthly evaluation can cost more than a one-time fee by the time you pass. This list compares one like-for-like thing, a $50K evaluation’s real cost: the fee × 3 (three attempts, or three months on a monthly plan) plus the activation fee charged when you pass.
Every firm here passes our ranking gate, and its cheapest $50K evaluation is the one shown. A plan that doesn’t publish its activation fee shows a floor, like “$450+”, and can’t top the list, because the true cost could be higher. Cheap isn’t the same as good: the score column shows where each firm stands overall.

Questions about this list
- What is the cheapest futures prop firm?
- At $50K, DayTraders.com’s evaluation (Static, $50K) has the lowest real cost on our list: $155, the fee × 3 plus activation. Next is Topstep, at $296.
- Why compare at $50K?
- One size compares like with like, and 19 of the 20 futures firms we rank have a $50K evaluation with a fee on record. Real cost rises with account size, so mixing sizes would make small accounts look cheap.
- What is real cost?
- What it takes to get funded at the published prices: the evaluation fee × 3 (three attempts, or three months on a monthly plan) plus the activation fee charged when you pass. Sales and discount codes aren’t counted, because they rarely apply to resets.
- Why can’t a plan with an unpublished activation fee be the cheapest?
- Its real cost is only a floor: the true figure is that plus a fee the firm doesn’t publish. We show it with a plus sign, like “$450+”, and list it after every plan with a full price.
- Is the cheapest firm the best?
- Not on its own. Real cost is 30 of the 100 points in our score; rules, profit split, years operating and Trustpilot make up the rest. The score column shows where each firm stands overall.
